How to Search a Workspace (Client and Matter)

There are multiple ways to look up a Workspace or Client-Matter in LINK.

1. In Search - choose from 3 ways to search for client files.

You’ll notice there are 3 different search options. In this example we’ll use the Form search.

In the Workspace field, type in the first part of the Client name. Tap on the Client name from the drop-down list.

You’ll immediately be shown a list of all files listed in that client’s Workspace.

You also have the option to run a previous search by choosing Recent.

2. With the Search Form - tap on blue field names to select a Workspace or other search options from a list.

Start in the LINK Search screen by tapping the Search Glass icon in the lower right.

In LINK, when text is in blue, tap on it to get a list.

Here, tap on the blue “Workspace”

From the overlay at the right, tap on the desired Workspace.

You can now tap Return on the keyboard (or the Search Glass icon) to find all of the Matters for this Client. Or, go to the next step to search in more detail.

To search by Document Type, for example, tap on the blue letters and select the type of document you’re looking for - in this case “Agreement”.

Then tap Return on the keyboard (or tap the Search Glass icon) to run the search.

LINK will display all Agreements listed under this client’s Workspace.

3. Use the Workspace & File Lookup feature.

From the main folders screen, tap “Workspace & File Lookup.”

In the Workspace field, type in part of the Client name and tap Lookup.

LINK will display a list of Client-Matter folders

To go to a specific file, select File in the Lookup feature. Then type in the document number and tap Lookup.

For a shortcut to the Workspace & File Lookup feature, tap on the “Go To” button wherever you see it throughout your DMS workspace.

If you do not find one of these search options in LINK, please contact your helpdesk or write to us at contact@mobilehelix.com. There may be a simple configuration change by IT to correct this.
