Email a File or Multiple Files via the Outlook App

Email a File or Multiple Files via the Outlook App

Note: Your firm may elect to  use the Microsoft Outlook app with LINK. To do so, the firm IT department must make configurations in the LINK Controller. Contact Support for help with this configuration.

If your firm chooses to use the Outlook app to email documents, here are two ways that you can start an email.
Select a document from your DMS. One option is to tap on the document and then tap the email icon in the lower right.

The second way to start an email send is to tap the ellipsis menu to the right of the document name. From the menu, select “send by email”. Now, you have the option to choose the format, either a copy (which would be a DOCX), a link, or a PDF. We’ll choose “Email Link”.

From the next screen, tap the paper airplane. We are now using the “open in hook”. From the application selector, tap on the Outlook tile.

An email screen is prepared and we can complete the email. Then tap the paper airplane to send it.

When sending through Outlook, if you want to send more than one file, tap the radio buttons to the left of the file names. Then tap the paper airplane.

On the next screen, tap the ellipses menu and select which format you want each file to be sent as.

In this example, we’ll send the first one as a link.

Tap the ellipsis icon for the second file. We’ll select to send the second file as a PDF.

Then tap the paper airplane in the upper right. Next, select the Outlook email tile from the application selector.

An email screen is prepared with the first file (Master Services Agreement) attached as an NRL, and the second file (Foundry Group Standard Term Sheet) attached as a PDF. Simply complete the email and tap the paper airplane to send it.

To summarize, your firm can choose to integrate LINK with the Outlook app to open NRLs and to send emails. This is a simple configuration, but it must be done by the IT Department. It is not an individual user option.
