How to Sign a Document on Android
When you receive a signature request via email with an attached document, simply open the document within the email. Once the document is downloaded, locate the page which requires your signature and tap the pencil on the menu bar.
You can select annotate PDF copy or edit in office for Android. For this example, we'll select “annotate PDF copy”.
Next select the “insert” tab at the top of the screen, then tap the button that looks like a cursive “JR”. A list of previously used signatures will appear. You may also create a new signature by tapping the “red plus” button at the bottom right of the screen.
Select your signature and it will appear highlighted in a placement frame on the document. You can drag it to the proper location and resize as needed.
You can also add text for the name and date. Select the “standard” tab at the top of the screen, then tap the T-bar button. Tap the area on the document where you'd like the text box to appear and enter your text. This will also be highlighted in a placement frame which you can move around and resize as needed. Tap on another area of the document to insert an additional text box.
Once the necessary lines have been filled out to your satisfaction simply click the X in the upper left at the top of your screen. A pop-up will appear with options for what you'd like to do with this newly saved document. In this example we will select the 2nd option “reply to this email with the document attached to it.”
This brings you back to the email now in “reply to sender” mode. The document has been attached.
Enter any desired text in the body of the email. Then simply click the paper airplane in the upper right corner to send the email with your signed document attached.
