Compare a Word Attachment in Email to a Sent Version

Compare a Word Attachment in Email to a Sent Version

With LINK you can run a redline between an email attachment that you receive and the version you sent previously.

For example: You email a client a document to review and edit. They email you back the same document, which now includes their edits. You can easily compare your original “sent file” with the newly updated file now in your inbox.

Open the email and tap on the black caret in the upper right corner of the attachment. A list of options is shown - select “Compare To”.

A comparison prompt will appear. Tap on “Select original file” to chose the file to compare this document to.

An overlay will appear on the right hand side. Scroll until you reach the “Email Attachments” section. In order to select the file you sent in your last email to them, tap on “Sent Items”.

You will see a list of attachments you sent in the last 60 days ordered from most recent to oldest. You can also use the search box to find the document. Once you’ve selected the original file, you’ll see the file name update in the comparison prompt. Tap on the comparison icon in the upper right corner to run the comparison.
