Annotation Toolbar Legend for LINK Notes and Document Annotation
This is the annotation toolbar. Access the toolbar by tapping on the pencil icon when you open a note or document in LINK. You can reposition the toolbar on the page by pressing the handle (circled in red) and moving it into one of three positions that highlight as you begin to move it.
You may use the Apple Pencil or your finger to annotate in LINK.
The small triangle at the lower right of a tool indicates that there are more related
tools. Press on the tool with the small triangle to see additional tools.
The Toolbar has tabs for additional tools: Standard, Shapes, Text Markup, and Insert.
Tool icons include the following:
Note that, depending on your device, some icons may not show in the Standard tab, but may show in other tabs.
Pen point: Write with Apple Pencil or your
fingerMarker: Freehand highlighter
Eraser
Wand: Hand draw a shape which will then snap into it’s perfected form
“T|”: Add text; tap the T, tap the
document, type text (or dictate)Comment box

If you select the pen, or marker you will also see a color dot icon, which is how you can change the feature color. For the eraser feature, use the same dot to select the width/thickness of the eraser.
The X in square next to the “handle” is how you close the annotation menu.
Other tabs will have more icons to select from, for example the Shapes tab shows arrow, line, box, wand, and various other shapes.
The Text Markup tab shows T-bar, comment, in-line text, highlight, strikethrough, squiggly underline, and underline.
The Insert tab shows signature, stamps, image, audio, link, and redaction icons.

You can select a preexisting signature or add a new one by tapping the blue plus mark.
Tap the signature, then tap the document and position it.
More about the Stamp Icon:
There are a variety of stamps to choose from, including a time and date stamp. You can also create your own custom stamp.
Tap the stamp, then tap the document and position it.
