Selection Mode rerefers to taking action on one or E more mails in the Inbox in one pass. Such actions are Delete, File, Flag, Unread, Read, and more. You may use Selection Mode to select multiple emails and to take the same action on all selected emails.

Selection Toggles in Left Margin

First, choose whether you want the Selection Toggles to Always be displayed in the Inbox or only when you are in Selection Mode. Set your preference in the Email Settings.

Selection Mode

In the Inbox, a “long touch” on a email will put the Inbox in Selection Mode. A haptic signal will indicate that you are in Selection Mode. Turn Selection Mode on in the LINK Email Settings (Inbox > Gear icon).

Settings: Enable “Selection Mode on a long touch” as shown below.

When Selection Mode is activated by a long touch, the Selection Toggles will be displayed in the left margin of the Inbox and the Toggle will be checked beside the email where the long touch took place. See below.

The image below shows:

  • A long touch on the Bloomberg email turns on the Selection Toggles in the left margin and checks the one next to the Bloomberg email.

  • At the bottom of the Inbox there is a banner, “You are in selection mode. Tap to exit.”

A haptic will signal that you have entered Selection Mode.

If you don’t want to be in Selection Mode, tap the banner to exit or tap Clear in the upper left.

Multi-select

Now that you are in Selection Mode, tap as many toggles as you care to select. Or just select one.
